Whiskers & Paws was founded because of the need to rescue cats from a colony on township property. Liz Maskery had been tending to these cats for a number of years, finding homes for dozens of cats and kittens and paying for veterinary costs. When this colony was threatened, Liz decided to take action. To this day only twelve cats remain at the colony and Whiskers & Paws is activily looking for a safe home for them. All are spayed or neutered, have been checked by a vet, treated as needed and are fed daily. They are not feral cats.
- Whiskers & Paws does TNR (trap, neuter, release) cats if necessary.
- Cats adopted from Whiskers & Paws are vet checked, have first shots (if under 6 months) and will be spayed/neutered when they are minimum five pounds.
- Whiskers & Paws does not charge a fee for adopting a cat.

Murphy was one of the first cats taken from the park on Normandy nine years ago. He was one of a kind and will be missed.
Ruby is a sweet 6 year old, spayed & front declawed, grey short haired little girl. Her owner has passed away and Ruby needs a new loving home. Ruby will be vet checked and her shots will be up-to-date. Please call 519 734-6657
